U-BOAT presents three new models at Watches & Wonders

On the Chimera, the wavy metal surface is composed of regular stripes that run horizontally across the entire two-layer dial, and comes in three different shades: black, green and blue. The perforations on the upper level allow a glimpse of the lower surface, which is made of smoked sapphire, amplifying the three-dimensionality of the stripes. U-Boat revisits the archetypal dive luxury cheap Watches, the Sommerso, and gives it a new look using 46 mm Damascus steel. Made using ancient methods, this incredible steel, more like a blade, covers the entire watch, from the case to the swivels and caseback. The play of Damascus lines and light on the watch is truly spectacular and very rare.

To make it a fully functional dive watch, the Sommerso features a left-side mounted crown and all the technical features you would expect to find on a U-boat professional dive watch, such as a sapphire crystal, a three-layer dial and vintage beige Super Luminova.

The dial also features a date window and a 24-hour counter with Super Luminova details, while inside is the precision and reliability of the Swiss Sellita SW200 movement. On the right side of the case, a screwed-down plate carries the serial number, while the large crown guard on the other side ensures water resistance to 300 meters. U-Boat’s last offering was small by their standards at just 44mm, but very charming. It’s a new watch that has been weathered and looks very old. The collection is called the Unico Darkmoon.

The Unico features a bronze PVD steel case that is specially treated with various acids to produce an oxidized and antiqued effect.
