Fifty-five years ago, ZENITH luxury fake watches introduced the first DEFY Diver. One of the earliest DEFY models, it was ahead of its time in both style and technology. Released in 1969, the A3648 was water-resistant to 600 meters and featured a bold black and orange color scheme with white accents to contrast against its stainless steel case. Its case was as bold as its colors, with its beveled shape and 14-sided bezel. Fifty-five years later, many of the same elements appear in a nod to the A3648 with the release of the DEFY Extreme Diver. Also water-resistant to 600 meters, the Extreme Diver features a black, orange and white color scheme with a brushed titanium case. It also features an angled case, although its bezel is a 12-sided shape, while the A3648’s is a 14-sided shape.
The DEFY Extreme Diver is a tribute to the A3648, evolving over 50 years. Perhaps one of the greatest tributes is purely accidental – the 600m water resistance rating is equivalent to 1,969ft – the year the original A3648 was released. To achieve this rating, it is equipped with a helium escape valve. This timepiece is tough enough to handle whatever life throws at it, as it complies with ISO 6425 regulations for professional dive replica watch review, ISO 764 regulations for paramagnetism, and ISO 1413 regulations for shock resistance. The use of titanium for the case is deliberate, as it is highly resistant to corrosion from salt water in seawater. What sets the DEFY Extreme Diver apart from many of its competitors is that it blends bold style with tactical prowess. Available in black and blue, the metal dial features a sunburst finish and features Zenith's signature four-pointed star motif.
The A3648 marks Zenith's first revival of one of its dive watches. If you're not one of the proud few who own an original A3648, you still have a chance to own this powerful piece of history. It features a 14-sided bezel and the bright orange/black color scheme of the 1969 original. Its vintage styling is evident from the text on the dial to the angular case and metal bracelet. To appeal to both small watch enthusiasts and vintage watch lovers, the A3648 measures 37mm. This size is paired with an offset screw-down crown at 4 o'clock to maximize wearing comfort. As a stylistic shift, the date window is also located at 4 o'clock. This timepiece retains the 600-meter water resistance rating of the original A3648 and is powered by Zenith's Elite 670 automatic movement.
