I. Series Overview
The Astronomia series is Jacob & Co. 's flagship artwork timepiece, launched at Baselworld 2014. Its core style is a continuously operating mechanised planetarium representing a smaller solar system, hailed as a " universe on your wrist. "
II. Core Structure (First-generation Astronomia Tourbillon)
Four-arm revolving platform: Rotates clockwise as soon as every 20 minutes, real estate four " planetary-level" features.
Tri-axis tourbillon:
Axis 1: 60-second rotation (conventional tourbillon)
Axis 2: 5-minute revolution around the dial
Axis 3: Completes one revolution round the dial every 20 moments with the platform.
Floating hour and moment discs: Patented differential armor and weapon upgrades, always keeping 12 o'clock up-wards, rotating with the platform.
Jacob-cut moon: 1-carat / 288-faceted spherical diamond, rotating 60 seconds.
Blue Earth: A glowing blue lacquered sphere, revolving using the platform.
Starry night sky case back again: Aventurine glass, simulating the night time sky.
Movement: JCAM10 manual winding motion, 48-hour power reserve, 47mm case diameter, 18K gold/sapphire crystal case.
