Terro Cielo Mare watch beyond the peak

In my blog, when we explored the Terra or Land series of watches made by Terra Cielo Mare (Italy TCM), we have firmly planted the land. The next series of watches from the TCM series pull the feet away from our bottoms, inspiration towards the sky or Cielo.

The Cielo collection consists of eight watches and draws inspiration from the pilot's line of sight. These pilots are focused, or sometimes even lost on the horizon. This series draws a great deal of design and historical conspiracy from its pages of twentieth century history. Pilots who soar in the sky during this time often don't have time to feel restless about their timepieces, considering everything that happens around them. The first watch in the Cielo collection is Il Sorci Verdi. This watch is limited to 79 pieces and is an excellent collection. The watch is designed for the Air Force squadron of the Sorci Verdi "Green Mice", which is designed to replicate the clocks on the Italian torpedo bomber SM79 (Sparviero or Sparrowhawk). All watches in this collection have a small metal plate from the original SM79 aircraft on the side of the case. These two watches are dedicated to the great pilot of the Sorci Verdi "Green Mice" (depicted on the dial) squadron. The buttons in these watches are located on the left side of the case. This allows the pilot to activate the chronograph button using the thumb. You will also notice a red detail on the chronograph button. This little function is to commemorate the pilot's wife. The pilot's wives used the body of the SM79 to paint red nail polish as a symbol of good luck. The Toponi official and his rich cousin, Toponi Officer de Oro, are collecting the next one. The Oro model is made up of 18k rose gold and is limited to 25 pieces. In addition to being easy to read, the dial remains faithful to the original model on the aircraft, with a 12-hour outer ring and a 24-hour internal. Like IL Sorci Verdi, TCM has a Mitsubishi A6M attached to the side of the case. The final watch in the Cielo collection is the Avio MK-II (with 4 surface treatments: gun, white, classic, tropical) and Avio MK-II Pelican. These watches pay tribute to aviation engineers, mechanics and pilots who participated in the Schneider Cup (founded in 1911). This group of people was designed and pushed to achieve maximum performance thresholds for single-engine aircraft. When you first see the dial of Avio MK-II Pelican, you think it is a stopwatch, because the number on the outer surface of the dial is calibrated to a few minutes, which is a very unique feature of the watch. The back cover of all the watches in this series is engraved with the famous MC72 seaplane engraving, a plane famous for Marshal Franco Ajello, who created the world speed record in 1934.
