Rebellion Timepieces is a Swiss timepiece manufacturer, a unique timepiece inspired by motorsports, and released two new watches during the Basel World Press Release Day: Weap-One and Twenty-One.

The new Weap-One (pronounced like a weapon) has an unprecedented, asymmetrical, 60-second flying tourbillon movement. The tourbillon is suspended between the hour and minute rollers and is attached to two plates. Each plate rotates at a different speed, creating an unstable horizontal axis - the first of its kind. Integrated into Weap-One are several racing techniques. Like the wheels of a racing car, the roller and tourbillon mounting plate rotate at different speeds. To compensate for this speed difference, the movement was developed using two differentials, mimicking the differential in the racing suspension. Ten ball bearings have replaced the pieces in this piece to further reduce rotational friction as well as radial and axial loads.
