Breitling Endurance Pro review

In our New Watch, I wasn't particularly friendly with the new Breitling Endurance Pro. Like all watches in NWA, I passed the unseen judgement. But if I'm not a fair person, I'm nothing. So I hooked it up with my local dealer and had a great time with the Pro. (Thanks Ben!) My verdict: this is a very expensive quartz watch. A very accurate very expensive quartz watch.

Thanks to the COSC-certified Calibre 82 SuperQuartz™ thermally compensated movement, the Breitling Endurance Pro will maintain a time of ±10 seconds per year. That puts it ahead of the rest, but behind the $1,350 Longines VHP by ±5 seconds a year and the $3,800 Grand Seiko 60th Anniversary Quartz.

Close enough to rock and roll? yes! Unless you're looking for temporary bragging rights. Fortunately, Breitling has a few other tricks up its watch sleeve. Specifically, its weight. or lack.

The Breitling Endurance Pro is not for those worried about unbearable lightness - it weighs just 65 grams and gets soaked.

The 65g Carbon Fiber Formex Leggera and 55g Titanium OMEGA Seamaster Aqua Terra Ultra-Light are "proper" mechanical watches that are as light or lighter as the Endurance Pro.

Thanks to the 44mm Endurance's quartz movement and Breitlight® case, because the fashion replica watches doesn't feel heavier. Breitling's carbon composite is 3.3 times lighter than titanium and 5.8 times lighter than stainless steel, non-magnetic, thermally stable, hypoallergenic, and "highly resistant" to scratches, traction and corrosion.

It makes the watch feel like a plastic toy. The Endurance Pro's orange strap, second hand, crown guard, pusher tips and inner bezel do not help to dispel this impression, but greatly enhance it.

The running time at least takes away some of the frivolity. Press the Endurance Pro's faders—the action is responsive and precise. The orange seconds hand flashed over the seconds hand, the subdial on the right hand went mad, spinning every second, and the subdial on the upper left counted the minutes.

The subdial at the bottom also counts the seconds. The redundancy on the bright orange pulsometer chapter ring that positions the Endurance Pro as the "ultimate athleisure watch" is to blame.

In other words, Breitling's marketing experts are targeting wealthy sports fans who don't use their smartwatches to measure their heart rate. Both.

Come on man! We all know the Endurance Pro is a fashion statement. Thirty minute timer? Crayola colors? If that doesn't identify the Pro as a tool discount replica watches for pulse-accelerated S&M (stand and model), what about the bezel compass?

The Endurance Pro's two-way bezel compass is beautifully presented; it slides around the dial like a curling stone on fresh ice. That said, if you get lost in the non-tropical wilderness of the northern hemisphere and need to head in a specific direction, any watch will do.

To use the watch as an approximate compass outside the tropics of the northern hemisphere, keep the watch level and point the hour hand towards the sun. The halfway between this point and the twelve o'clock mark on the watch points to the south.

Then the monster of the sub-dial took a bite out of the 3 and 6 (making them semi-clear) and almost devoured the 6. The same creature almost eliminated 2 and 10. Only six figures passed the attack.

Just for fun, there is "ENDURANCE" below the midpoint of the left dial, as opposed to "CHRONOMETER". It's no surprise that the date window recedes to a relatively quiet corner between 4 and 5 o'clock.
