The in-house automatic movement UN-230 isn’t the most eye-catching movement, but that’s because everything you really want to see is on the dial. What’s remarkable about this 72-hour power reserve movement is that the hands are actually the movement’s rotating bridges. At the other end of the long minute hand, you’ll find the large silicon balance wheel and escapement in action. Since the bridges and minute indications are one and the same, the escapement makes one revolution around the dial every hour—a one-hour merry-go-round tourbillon, if you will. This is a very clever mechanism, and some manufacturers have realized it.
