This year marks Zenith's 160th anniversary, and the brand has already celebrated with several blue-themed watches. With this special collection, the brand will revisit some of its finest watches and movements, including the return of the legendary Caliber 135. Now, two limited-edition Defy Zero G watches continue this legacy, crafted entirely from sapphire: one pale blue, the other crystal clear. The barrel's torque is redirected via tapered bevel gears and a micro-differential that maintains power flow to the escapement when the module tilts. The latest gravity control assembly, identical to the one introduced in 2018, comprises 139 components and runs on nine ceramic ball bearings. The 8812S caliber beats at a frequency of 36,000 vibrations per hour, offering high rate stability and a power reserve of approximately 50 hours. It features a silicon escapement wheel with a nickel-silicon anchor and a double-arrow regulator.
