Bonati Fares PAM911 – "Officine Panerai's Final Watch"
For over two decades, Angelo Bonati has paved the way for the Panerai replica watches brand. Since joining the brand from Cartier in 1997, he has been the face of the brand's rise, legacy, and devotion, all of which are the result of the dedicated efforts of the brand and its legions of devoted fans. These "Panerai enthusiasts" hold a special place in the brand, and Officine Panerai has dedicated a series of limited-edition watches to their memory. As a final farewell to these devoted fans, Officine Panerai unveiled the PAM911, designed by Mr. Bonati himself, without any media or publicity. We don't know if this will be the last watch, but it will undoubtedly be the final piece of work created during Mr. Bonati's tenure.
To understand how things ended, we must look back to their origins and the journey of the PAM911.
The first was the limited-edition PAM195, released to celebrate the fifth anniversary of Paneristi.com. Each watch features an engraving of its owner's name on the caseback.
The second watch in the collection, the PAM360, is arguably the finest of the Paneristi collections. Limited to just 300 pieces, all owners were chosen by lottery. high quality watches replica
A few years later, Panerai released the PAM532, the first Radiomir watch in the collection. This 47mm Radiomir features the same color scheme as the PAM360 and is also limited to 500 pieces. It was named "Paneristi Forever" and featured an engraving of "Paneristi Forever" on the caseback.
For its 15th anniversary, the brand introduced the PAM634, its first stainless steel model without PVD treatment, featuring a snap-on caseback and a blue logo dial.
This brings us to the "final Panerai watch," the PAM911. Designed by Angelo Bonati himself, this final Panerai model features a 44mm Luminor stainless steel case with a beautiful camouflage green dial, a design recurring on the newer green-dial models in the PAM736, PAM735, and PAM737.
This green dial, a sandwich construction and coated with a luminescent coating that mimics an antique patina, is a design shared by all models except the PAM195. Furthermore, this watch debuts gold hands, blending seamlessly with the dial and luminescent coating.
At the heart of the PAM911 is a Panerai in-house 8-day manual-winding movement. One of Mr. Bonati's best decisions for this swiss replica watches was not to include the "8 Days" inscription on the dial, despite our recent criticisms. This decision preserves the aesthetic simplicity of Panerai dials, for which we can at least be grateful.
Another clever touch is the return to a screw-down caseback, rather than the snap-on one found on the PAM634. "The Last of Paneristi" is engraved in the center of the caseback. A subtle detail, yet subtler, is also inscribed on the caseback in small font, alongside the rest of the inscription. This serves as a lasting reminder of Mr. Bonati's contribution to the brand and his final farewell through the design and release of this watch.
The PAM911 comes with a brown Ponte Vecchio strap and a dark brown OEM rubber strap, which can be replaced using a screwdriver included in the elegant green wooden box that comes with the watch.
Upon its release, this watch quickly sold out in boutiques, becoming a sought-after item among the world's most devoted Panerai enthusiasts. The waiting list for the next limited edition is already incredibly long, so if you're lucky enough to own this exquisite watch, you're truly blessed. It will be some time before we truly see how this watch compares to the rest of the Panerai collection, but for me, it already ranks among the top three, behind the PAM195 and PAM360.
The PAM911 is unlike any other Paneristi watch ever made and a perfect way for Mr. Bonati to say goodbye.
Sig Bonati, as a longtime Panerai fan, I sincerely thank you for your dedication to Panerai and for the passion and amazing innovation you've demonstrated along the way. We've thoroughly enjoyed this journey with us and wish you all the best in the future. Jacob & Co. replica watches
