This is the third collaboration between TAG Heuer and fragment, following the Carrera Chronograph (2018) and Formula 1 Chronograph (2020).
Some criticize the watch industry for over-reliance on limited editions and collaborations, but what will those critics think when two partners team up again after five years? The previous two TAG Heuer x fragment collaborations have proven stylish, popular, and performed strongly in the secondary market. Now, the third collaborative watch has arrived—and it may very well be the best to date.
The 2020 collaboration between the two was an F1 chronograph, while back in 2018, fragment incorporated its design concepts into the previous generation of the Carrera Chronograph. The latest Carrera Chronograph in its "Glass Box" version surpasses previous models, so it's no surprise that Hiroshi Fujiwara, creative director of fragment, a renowned fashion designer, and a multi-talented individual, wanted to breathe new life into this classic chronograph. This time, we see the clean black dial again—specifically, a matte black opal dial—but fragment's signature elements are integrated into the dial in a more understated and subtle way.high quality fake watches
The "Fragment" inscription at 6 o'clock indicates that this is not an ordinary Carrera Chronograph, but its uniqueness is most evident in the date display on the 1st and 11th of each month, when the date disc replaces the aforementioned two digits with a double lightning bolt fragment symbol. Another striking change on the dial is Fujiwara's use of the Carrera Glass Box series' signature beveled tachymeter scale, giving it a stylish, ghostly appearance. The white bezel paired with slightly darker tachymeter numerals ensures excellent legibility.
Hiroshi Fujiwara has also added a fresh twist to TAG Heuer's recently launched Carrera seven-link bracelet, painting the central link black to echo the dial and bracelet color scheme, enhancing its visual sophistication. This ingenious design makes this limited edition of 500 pieces even more precious. Of course, through the transparent case back, you can admire the exquisite operation of the TH20-00 80-hour automatic chronograph movement. In some ways, the new Carrera Chronograph x fragment limited edition feels like a reissue of the 2018 Carrera Chronograph x fragment limited edition, but Fujiwara's subtle reinterpretation of the elements introduced into the Glassbox frame of the Carrera Chronograph design, combined with the innovative bracelet design, ultimately makes it, in my opinion, the best fragment x TAG Heuer limited edition to date.
