I recently discussed Urwerk's new UR-210 watch and brought with them an interesting new "coiling efficiency indicator" complication. The new complex idea is to tell you if you are sporting enough or if you need to be more active. I ridiculed that this is a complicated matter that reminds you to get up in your ass and walk around. Recently I got one of my first batch of UR-210 works. My overall report is that it is a cool Urwerk with no new complications.
The last Urwerk watch before the UR-210 was the UR-110 (we introduce here). They refer to the UR-110 as a "torpedo". This is an interesting but bizarre visually weird watch. Although, I appreciate its design experiments and technical achievements. With the UR-210, beautiful abrasion resistance and design aesthetics can be restored, coupled with superior technology. The unique titanium shell is very long, almost 44 mm wide. It looks wonderful and sits comfortably on the wrist. Spacey and Futurism, this is what the high-end modern design should be about. Urwerk called it UR-7.10. It has a 39-hour power reserve and some unique features. Let's talk about the automatic winding system first. Of course, the best part of this system is the new "fat hand" time display. Urwerk once again re-imagined their satellite time notification system and further complicated it. Hours are still displayed in circular cubes, but the minute hand is a new feature of the UR-210. The big minute pin is a "jumper". The best way to understand it is to watch the video above. The hour indicator is located in the hour indicator. When the hour indicator reaches the end of the hour, the minute hand jumps back to 0 to connect to the next hour.
