The Graham Chronograph Sahara (see 2CCAUB02A) is a masculine watch that is an off-road vehicle that is stuck in a luxury watch. I first discussed this watch because it is part of Graham's Chronofighter II watch. The Chronofighter II is an exquisite version of the original Chronofighter collection. The Chronofighter is designed in a Sahara style with a PVD black steel case with khaki tan hour markers and hands, and a fabric strap that looks like another tent canvas in the 1940s. I would not call Chronofighter Sahara "military", but it must be "outdoor tactics", if any. As a sports watch, I found it suitable for casual and more fun outdoor environments. To be honest, I found myself preferring Chronofighter, which I once thought was a clumsy big and stupid chronograph triggering system than I thought.
The new feature of the Chronofighter II is a simpler and more elegant trigger. Mounted on the left side of the case, it never penetrates your arm or wrist and ends up looking very cool. I found it also acts as an "artificial magnet" because many people comment on the watch and express how much they like it. The trigger is lightweight and made of sturdy cut carbon. Built into the trigger system is the crown of the watch. Purposefully large, operational and manual winding (if needed) is easier than it seems. The chronograph's pusher is actually in the middle of the crown, which is what the trigger steps on. Without any swing and solid feel, I would of course think that the smaller size and refined design and materials of the chronograph trigger system are an upgrade to the previous generation Chronofighter watch.
Each Chronofighter interior features a modified Swiss ETA Valjoux 7750 automatic chronograph movement, which Graham calls the G1747 movement. Flip the 7750 and remove the 12 hour counter. This leaves the auxiliary seconds on the dial, as well as the date (thank you on the black disc) and the 30-minute chronograph. The appropriately sized hour and minute hands have a certain retro clock design and are very readable. I would say that the black-black auxiliary seconds hand and dial may be easier to read, but I never pay too much attention to it, to be honest, I can hardly think of it as a problem. If you want to measure the number of seconds, it's easy to see the second hand of the chronograph. Graham also designed a larger chronograph minute counter than you think, which makes it very easy to read.
Living with Chronofighter Sahara's dial for a while I can now say that I not only appreciate its legibility, but that the sleek design is very beautiful for me. There is nothing too shiny or polished, and reading it in many different lighting scenes has proven to be comfortable. Interestingly, there is a telemeter scale on the dial that I don't have and will not use. It never bothered me, but when I wrote this comment, I remembered it interestingly there. The Lume on the dial is a tan SuperLumiNova. I really appreciate that it is not light green. Lume is pretty good, but given the color of lume, there is a gentle trade-off. It emits real and green, but it will absorb less light when applied. However, the chronograph does not have any brightness - so the time measurement is just under the light. The included fabric straps are very comfortable and match well from a color perspective. A small problem is that fabrics tend to wear a little bit.
