Introducing Three New High-End Patek Philippe Watches for the Grand Exhibition in Tokyo
On the occasion of the sixth exhibition, Patek Philippe presented a variety of gorgeous new replica best watches.
The Patek Philippe Exhibition is held for the sixth time this year, and it opened in Tokyo, Japan this weekend. Running until June 25, the brand invites you to immerse yourself in the world of Patek Philippe, with ten themed areas showcasing Patek Philippe's watchmaking history and craftsmanship. One of these areas brings together 50 unique pieces inspired by Japanese culture. Patek Philippe Quadruple Complications Watch 5308P-010
Some complications have always been important to Patek Philippe, including perpetual calendars and chronographs. Based on the 5208T from Only Watch 2017, this new Patek Philippe quadruple complication watch 5308P-010 combines a perpetual calendar, a minute repeater and a monopusher chronograph. The added complication that transformed it from the Triple Complication (5208 above) to this new Quadruple Complication is the fact that the monopusher chronograph is now a Rattrapante, or split-seconds. All of this is set in a 42mm x 17.71mm polished platinum case topped with a sapphire crystal and an interchangeable solid or sapphire crystal case back. Distributed on the outside of the case are the pushers for the chronograph (start, stop, reset at 2', rattrapante at 4') and the QP indicating corrector. The white gold and rose gold-plated opaline dial reveals numerous functions. All hands and hour markers, as well as the frame for the upper part of the calendar display, are made of white gold and finished in anthracite gray. The chronograph subdial has a white outer ring, and the lower half of the small seconds subdial shows the phases of the moon.
If the display case is fitted, one can see the complex Caliber R CHR 27 PS QI self-winding movement, wound by a half-size rotor. In second place is not so much a technical evolution of the existing Patek as an aesthetic evolution. It is one of two new world time watches that Patek Philippe has launched for the Japanese market, in line with the big exhibition in Tokyo. This one uses another mainstay complication in Patek Philippe's arsenal, the world chronograph, combined with a minute repeater mechanism. It represents the city of Tokyo, and more specifically the centrally located Chuo Ward, in a gorgeous and colorful grand feu cloisonné enamel decorate. It is surrounded by a two-tone rose gold 24-hour disc and a silver opal city ring. Rose gold hour and minute hands mark the time. On the left side of the 40.2mm x 11.49mm rose gold case, a slider activates the minute repeater mechanism.
Speaking of which, the minute repeater is what sets it apart from several other Patek Philippe world time watches. Patek Philippe has released another world time watch in honor of Tokyo and the Expo, albeit a slightly simpler one than the 5331R we just showed you. However, it is also noteworthy due to the inclusion of an analog date mechanism that works in sync with the local time display. It marks Patek Philippe's top complication set in a white gold case measuring 40 mm wide and 11.57 mm high. The dial’s fuchsia hue, the official color of the 2023 Grand Show, makes it even more distinctive, and is finished with guilloché in the centre. On the outside, there's the familiar two-tone 24h disc, now matching the color of the dial. Then there's the fuchsia city disc, rimmed by a new beveled date ring, indicated by central mineral crystal hands and red lacquered bars. The time is indicated only by platinum hour and minute hands. Buttons located at 10' allow you to easily adjust your local time in one-hour increments and sync with the date when you pass midnight. This also works both ways, which makes it very practical.
Inside, the Caliber 240 HU C is an evolution of the Caliber 240 HU in the regular Patek Philippe World Time collection. It is equipped with a newly developed and patented date complication differential, using a total of 70 components. Two concentric gear trains manage the local time date, and they work together to keep the date hand stationary or to move forward or backward in one position. Complicated, but very easy to use.
