This bold and lightweight watch, made from head to toe in carbon fiber, is the final instalment in the trilogy of Cover Girl watches.

In 2020, watch magazine Revolution unveiled the first Zenith Chronomaster Revival limited edition, a watch with a bold dial layout inspired by the A3818 “Cover Girl” edition of the legendary El Primero from 1971. This first edition watch was made in stainless steel, followed in 2022 by the Chronomaster Revival A3818 “Airweight Cover Girl” in titanium. Now, to complete the trilogy, the two parties have decided on an even lighter and bolder model made from high modulus carbon fiber, weighing just 55 grams. The El Primero movement was originally available in 3 references – the A384, A385 and A386 – but other important early adopters of the legendary movement followed, including the rare A3818, one of the rarest El Primero references, of which around 1,000 were produced. This particular watch, known for its blue dial with “shark tooth” chronograph scales, earned the nickname “Cover Girl” after appearing on the cover of Manfred Rössler’s book Zenith: The Swiss Manufacture since 1865. While the basic specs remain unchanged from the two previous A3818 Cover Girls, there is a significant and very noticeable upgrade in materials compared to the Chronomaster Revival A384 or A385. The case, pushers and crown are all crafted from this lightweight material in a random pattern. All carbon fiber parts are first forged into solid blocks by suppliers from the aerospace industry and then CNC machined at the Zenith factory.
