Unfortunately, this timepiece is sealed from the factory to several quality issues. I will explain every issue in detail throughout the review process. This stainless steel Audemars Piguet Diver is the modest view of the prettiest Royal Oak Offshore company I can buy (except perhaps a few limited editions). Ironically, it is also the most affordable original processing. There is no doubt that this wrist is one of the most popular Audemars Piguet. To be honest, what does not like this beauty? Simply put, this is the ultimate luxury diver watch.
If Audemas Piguet had an incredible thing, it was the completion of their case. The wire drawing on the metal surface (especially the bezel) is amazingly... it is combined with a carefully polished chamfer edge and the result is purely sexy. Although the housing advertisement is 42 mm, the diver feels significantly larger due to the protruding design of the strap and the overall thickness of the watch (13.90 mm). It feels more like 44 mm. The steel bezel on the watch is gorgeous, but it is also a scratch magnet. Even with my extreme OCD watch, I still added some tiny scratches on the bezel. Very weak, but they are there... The rubber inserts the spiral crown and the black dial, the black rubber strap and the black rubber tab under the bezel. Not sure how old the rubber blade is, but it looks really good now. This reference document has a solid case. However, new references. The 15710ST has an open back cover to clearly view the movement without sacrificing the waterproof depth. There is a sapphire crystal glass on top and anti-reflection coating inside. The black dial has a striking "Super Snack" model... The Snack Shop model has become synonymous with Audemars Piguet. Unlike most ROOs, this dial is very smooth (wet appearance) and fits well with the “Divers” theme. The polished platinum application hour index perfectly matches the polished white gold hand, in addition to giving the watch a more elegant look. The design of the hour hand is simple, original, and attractive. There is a date at 3 o'clock which shows that the magnification is clever. Personally, I'm not a loyal fan of the typeface they chose for the date... More modern fonts that better fit the black rotating inner circle should be my choice. In addition, the black shadow used on the date display background is slightly different from the black on the dial... this is a bit distracting. The inner bezel has a dive ratio and an area of 60 to 15 minutes. Unfortunately, the inner ring on my watch has flaws. Printing on the inner side of the bezel is turned off (the part from 6 to 12 o'clock does not match the mark on the dial), and the liquid crystal on the inverted triangle at 12 o'clock is notched. When I brought these two items to the APSC, they agreed that it was not within the specification and they replaced the dial and inner bezel during the warranty period. It looks perfect now... It should be like this. Due to lack of quality control, two points are deducted.
This watch has a matt black rubber strap on the spring strip stainless steel buckle. Like most of the Don buckles in the Offshore series, the letters "AP" are engraved on the buttons and are very basic. With the exception of the polished side, the finish on the buckle was brushed. Unfortunately, the bottom edge of my don button (closer to my skin) appears sharp from the factory razor. I can only assume that this is a quality control oversight, because other donkeys from APs I have worked on do not show this clarity (see the comfort section below for more details). Just like the strap on my AP ROO 26400S, the standard length strap is too long for my 6.5-inch wrist. I had to order a short belt for the most suitable way. The manufacturing movement 3120 has 40 gems, 280 parts, and 60 hours of power reserve. From the beginning, the watch has been running too fast. After comparing Tang Jian and my other AP, it is clear that the sharpness is not normal. I was able to send the donation to the APSC and have them correct the problem. Although it does require two visits, APSC can finally solve the problem for me for free. Now the buttons should be like this, comfort has been greatly improved. This quality control problem was deducted one point.
