Here, John told us that he had met a watch for the first time when he sat on the jury at the Geneva Watch Grand Prix. Although it did not get back the prize, it was a genuine product that worked with him.
Last November, I had a rare opportunity to participate in the jury of the Geneva Watch Grand Prix. One day, I and 22 other experienced watch enthusiasts carefully examined 71 watches in 14 categories, extending the entire watchmaking world from the non-complexity of the Black Bay to the Lady Tourbillion made by Bovet. Of all the watches I saw, what really stood out was the Bell & Ross BR126 Sport Heritage Chronograph. In the Sports Watch category, the Sports Heritage Chronograph did not win awards at the awards ceremony, but it left a lasting impression on me because it is consistent with all other watches in the run.
This is something I learned as an artist and a watch collector: Great design costs are the same as poorly designed designs. It just needs something inside and the soul can really be something. Better material costs are higher, of course, but the pad printer places any style letters on what you call a dial. Although Swiss ETA movements are inexpensive (although they are reliable), like the BR126, most watch companies started from resignation and did not even try to do something really meaningful. We have already seen brands such as Omega and Panerai testing the artificial patina effect, but the BR126 marks the “elderly luminous” appearance on its hour markers and hands. If you have ever spent time staring at old-fashioned marine residents or submarines, you will understand how convincing it looks. In addition to adding some historical realism, it also sets the tone for the rest of the watch: soft, classic and cool.
BR126's dial color style draws on the maximum weight of the "Red" Submariner 1680 Rolex "Black/Cream/Red" combination. The interesting thing about date-enabled watches is that you can cut the dial to show which day of the month around the number wheel. The date aperture here is placed between the hour markers between 4 o'clock and 5 o'clock. The only element of this design is not historical backtracking, but the nod of other Belrose series chronographs.
The bezel is very classic and very clever. The only death giveaway at the low price is the end of the case. The surface is smooth, with slightly over-polished sides and lugs read "If you want more, pay more", it is completely effective here. Bell&Ross BR03-92 Horograph and Hororum Limited Edition

The BR03-92 Horograph uses a square micro-blasted steel housing measuring 42mm on each side. Bell and Ross said that the square case was inspired by the Bauhaus design movement, with its concise lines and "functionally induced shape", but if we are honest, then it is absolutely meaningless. There is no Bauhaus in these watches. They are more in line with the instruments you find on the old plane - and this is great, so there is no reason to digest the story with something that looks trendy. Considering the travel, especially the clarity of the airport clock, the new BR03-92 Horograph has a newer black dial, a white minute index, a five minute indicator, a four o'clock circular date window, and a red-pointed center second hand.
The movement is a Bell-Ross mechanical movement BR-CAL.302, identical to the movement used in the previous reference BR03-92. This is Bell & Ross's Sellita SW300-1 version, which has a 38-hour power reserve and can run 25 gems. This watch is equipped with Bell&Ross rubber strap or fabric strap, both with beaded stainless steel clasp.
Our second watch here is the limited edition BR03-92 Horolum, which starts with the same sandblasted square steel case and manually wound BR-CAL.302 movement. However, it differs from the standard BR03-92 in that its grey dial is paired with a bright green SuperLuminova C3 accent, with a grey dial matching the feel, index, and quarter-hour oversized Arabic numerals.
