5 new Swiss watches will be launched in the fall of 2018
After Labor Day, when a large number of brands began to promote their latest models, the situation did change. I highlighted some of the most interesting introductions below.
Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde Moon

Richard Mille RM 12-01 Tourbillon
The new RM 12-01 Tourbillon is a follow-on to the 12-year-old RM 012 tourbillon watch designed by avant-garde watchmaker Richard Mille. It features a groundbreaking structure with a combination of case and base. Ulysse Nardin recently launched its new executive tourbillon freewheel, whose space-age components seem to float under its innovative box-shaped dome sapphire crystal mirror, consistent with the aesthetic and functional boundaries that make timepieces promote mechanical watchmaking. Urwerk UR-111C
Unconventional did not begin to describe Urwerk's cuckoo art, which is a Swiss brand and a pioneer in mechanical watchmaking. So its new UR-111C has a two-minute display - a linear ("for the eyes") and a number ("for the precision") - and a roller on the top of the case instead of the crown, makes sense. Richard Mille borrows the Racecar chassis for his tourbillon watch
The watch was unveiled at The Bridge's watchmaker event, which featured post-war sports and racing.
For the third year in a row, Richard Mille hosted an annual classic car and art event at The Bridge, the super golf course in Bridgehampton. Before being converted into one of the most exclusive golf courses in the world, the location is home to the Bridgehampton track. Originally founded in 1957, the course has been considered one of the most challenging tracks in the country for many years. The new RM 12-01 built-in movement was first introduced in 2006 based on the RM 012 movement of the watchmaker. It was one of the earliest achievements of watchmakers and was built only five years after Richard Mille launched the business. As the first watch with a bottom plate and bridge structure made of steel pipes and titanium pipes, it caused a sensation in the watch industry and even won the highest honor in the watch industry at the Geneva Watch Grand Prix. Visible through the front of the sapphire crystal case, the movement's architectural design creates stiffness and torsional stiffness to resist thermal changes and corrosive elements. The movement is available in four different housing options, using the brand's proprietary thin layer technology - black carbon TPT, red quartz TPT, and gold and carbon TPT - all known for their high durability. Each version is limited to 18 pieces, and given Richard Mille's loyal fan base and small batch production, expect these huge 48mm timepieces - with oversized price tags - to match some very heavy hitters.
