HYT H1.0 watch
The HYT H1.0 is the latest addition to a series that finally seems to be finding its feet. Replica HYT Watches – Fluid Mechanical Horologists from Neuchâtel, Switzerland – is a brand best known for the fluid time displays used in its watches. Since the brand was founded in 2012, every HYT product has been equipped with a liquid hour hand. Time is indicated by a visually imperceptible meniscus that separates colored and clear liquids as they meet in the center of extremely thin glass capillaries made by HYT sister company Preciflex. Minutes are (usually, but not always) indicated by a traditional minute hand mounted on a 12-hour subdial at 12 o'clock.
Various other indicators and functions are also present, such as a running seconds indicator, a power reserve indicator and a generator power light. Just a few years ago, in 2017, HYT seemed to be relaunching its entire offering. The brand began limiting releases to watches with more "traditional" case shapes and layouts, and instead began to focus on the H0 series, giving the brand's products a decidedly more sculptural feel. While this particular series often feels out of place for me, the H1.0 is, in my opinion, a strong marriage of the brand's original H1 models and the best intentions of the H0 series.
Where did H1.0 come from?
The H1.0 and H0 series use the same underlying technology as the previous H1-H4 series. However, the new case favored by the brand features a tall sapphire dome that allows for an incredible three-dimensional view of the internal mechanics, as well as a novel placement of the hour markers (which are actually on the side of the case). If you look back at the earliest H0 models and compare them to this release of the H1.0, you'll see the same DNA, but with a more mature design. luxury replica watches
In my estimation, HoiTong hit a home run when it launched the H1 in 2012. While some of the earliest iterations do look a little dated now (like the version with the bright green casing), the brand had a unique core concept: it was executed well without overcomplicating things. As scope and technology develop, so does the complexity of the design. At the time, H0 seemed to hit the reset button. Our attempt was to strip everything back to those core concepts that make the brand unique.
In this way, the H0 family is successful, but it looks like a half-finished product. What I'm seeing now in the HYT H1.0 is a more robust design that blends the cleanliness of the H0 series with a bit of the industrial artistry you might remember from the H1 and H2 series.
Most importantly, H1.0 is a grown-up version of H0, finally able to embrace itself and have a little fun. (In my opinion, this colorway is superior to previous attempts.) This dial design has numerous 3D elements that add depth and visual interest to the program. The bellows arches are a great feature, and the chamfered minute ring is interesting without being distracting. replica watches swiss
I feel confident in the design of this particular piece which I love. The 65-hour power reserve indicator is finally clear and easy to use, with bright red hands that perfectly complement the Super-LumiNova C7’s cool mint turquoise numerals and luminous fluid lighting strips. The fluid indicator itself is black, contrasting with the glowing green beneath it.
In this model, the seconds hand takes the pleasing form of a spoked wheel surrounding the traditional 10 o'clock position. The moving elements on the dial are again very prominent, something that recent HYT models often fail to do.
The case is 48.8mm wide and is made primarily of sapphire but is based on a stainless steel base and features a stainless steel crown that stands tall on the wrist and is a whopping 20.08mm thick. However, the lack of lugs makes it a wearable piece. I started to change my mind about the H0 style with the release of the HYT H0 Time is Precious watch, but this new, further developed collection has me completely on its side.
