GREUBEL FORSEY TOURBILLON 24 SECONDES VISION PLATINUM BROWN DIAL

Greubel Forsey Tourbillon 24 Secondes Contemporain

Greubel Forsey blazes new trails with 24-second tourbillon architecture

Spoiler alert, this is not an affordable watch. What this Greubel Forsey lacks in accessibility, it makes up for in sheer drama and craftsmanship. Meet the new Architecture, a watch that fully reveals drama from every angle thanks to the stunning movement that blends seamlessly with the dial, viewing it through the massive sapphire windows. The architecture features a unique 24-second tourbillon tilted at 25°, a move we've seen before from Greubel Forsey, and while it's equally impressive here, it's placed in a The brand introduces the movement of the new design language.best replica watches

Let's be clear, this is not a skeleton or open work dial. You're peeking into the innards of motion here, delivering a 3D experience in which a set of hands can be seen blooming from a high tripod bridge. The titanium bridges are the delicate arches that suspend the movement of the movement, and each part feels custom made for the watch, because they are. The resulting display is massive, with layers of detail that can be spotted and appreciated under a magnifying glass. Believe me, this is a movement that looks amazing under a loupe, a loupe is much needed to fully appreciate every facet, countersink and angle work of the movement.

An arched barrel bridge at 10 o'clock supports one of the focal points, and a circular, textured barrel lid with a concentric dot design brings a new Ikepod-eque vibe to Greubel Forsey's new piece. The barrel cover contains three barrels coaxially connected in series, providing a chronograph reserve of 90 hours. This reserve is tracked by an indication at 3 o'clock, with all the gears connecting it to the barrel shown below.Jacob & Co Astronomia Sky

At 6 o'clock, we find the most dramatic element of a watch that is no shortage of drama, the sloping tourbillon housed in a spherical skeletonized bridge with its base hidden beneath the baseplate. The casing completes one revolution in just 24 seconds, exactly 3,600 times per day, and can be seen from multiple angles around the casing. The inclination and rapid rotation increase the ability of the tourbillon to resist the effects of gravity and help improve the timekeeping accuracy of the watch, even if only a little. Plus, you know, it looks really cool. A small subsidiary dial joins the tourbillon, where a red dot marks the running seconds at the more familiar rate of one revolution per minute.

As impressive as the movement is, the unique case shape and construction enhance our ability to appreciate it. This case is convex in profile and defies any normal units of measurement you might have applied to it. It's similar to a frustum of cone, but with a subtle curvature applied to it, making it more attractive than what you memorized in geometry class. It measures 47mm at the bottom and 45mm at the top, but is listed as 50mm in diameter. Visually, it looks like a sapphire pillow has been placed within a titanium frame, providing viewing windows between the case sides and variable-geometry lugs that flow seamlessly into the rubber strap.discount replica watches

It's a massive watch with a 354-part movement, and while it's certainly visually quite dense, it's almost uncomfortably heavy on the wrist. Not that I'd dare judge a watch like this by any practical lens, but it's certainly wearable. Legibility is another matter, as the delicate hands get a little lost in the cityscape below them, but I imagine the eventual owner will enjoy the hunt if they need reading time.

On the periphery of the dial, you will find the Greubel Forsey values engraved that inspired such creations: Architecture, Harmony, Innovation, Technology, Bienfacture, Passion, Science, Exclusivité, Créativité.replica Richard Mille Rafael Nadal
